This new media performance art piece was live streamed during the first lockdown event in 2020. I was inspired by images created by Alexander Mcqueen's Asylum/ Joel-Peter Witkin's “Sanitarium, New Mexico, 1983” to depict the ‘leisure panic’ I was feeling. The media involved light sensitive oscillators, midi controller, lights, and dripped white paint to depict the times of 2020. Making music in a conventional way during the most unconventional year didn't seem right to me. I strived to place a mirror on American life: media consumption during a terrifying pandemic and Presidency.
